At the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2), we support the creation of a sustainable future, which is why we aim to help innovative clean technologies in the lab and support them on their path to market. Rising energy costs, coupled with greater awareness by consumers on the benefits of increased energy efficiency, have led to a major push to reduce the energy impact of commercial and residential buildings. By supporting efforts in clean-energy technology development and commercialization, we’re bending the curve and helping overcome these gaps.
We are proud to support today’s innovators to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints, which is why we are happy to announce the recipients of the first round of IN2’s Channel Partner Awards. The Channel Partner Awards Program supports our goal of building resilient, smart and connected communities by encouraging the development of a strong, multi-stakeholder cleantech ecosystem that will collectively support and drive innovation to enable greater urban sustainability.
The entire Awards Program is a $5 million initiative designed to foster the development of a robust cleantech ecosystem, comprised of innovative incubators, accelerators, and universities as well as promoting a collaborative network of knowledge sharing, ultimately leading to a more sustainable future. Each of the recipients of the first round of IN2 Channel Partner Awards Program has displayed a talent for innovation, disruption and commitment to clean technology.

As Richard Adams, director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (IEC) at NREL, reminds us: “Our mission is to nurture an ecosystem where more startups and innovators receive the technical and financial backing, as well as business mentoring and encouragement they need at their earliest stages in order to advance toward commercialization of their technologies.”
